You are a member of a large tribe in a coastal village. The land is sparsely green and populated by deadly creatures. This world is at about our level of technology, but it is rarely used and mostly inaccessible due to the harshness of the planet. Many of you spend your time mining and hunting. You are preparing for the up and coming fight tournament. If you win, you will gain renown and prestige. Also, not a small amount of money and food for your families...

Epistolary Zariah
Aptitude: Psychic.
Fighting Style: Armed with a bolt pistol and a force sword.

Zariah is the second highest ranked Librarian of the Iron Souls chapter, having reached the rank of Epistolary. He is an extremely powerful psyker, ranked higher-Beta on the 24 point assignment scale. He is not the Chief Librarian because of his self proclaimed inability to lead and his unwillingness to be taken out of active duty. He is currently tasked with recruitment and training of new Space Marines to replace their recent losses at the Battle for Thracian Primaris, where a fellow chapter had required aid.

Taktikos (often called takt by the people he meets) Is a relatively quiet, and laid back character, who rarely shows any interest in emotions of feelings, and seems to base most of his decisions on statistics.

Faustus, simply put, is a pragmatist that sometimes resorts to realism as a state of both mind and existence. His parent's death at the hands of a local plague inspired this youth to pursue a future in the field of medicine. He has lived alone most of his life, and is considered by many to be a rude outcast. However, his skills as a healer are unrivaled among the local populous, and many are more than willing to put up with his faults. It is unknown why, but Faustus has developed a fascination with fire, perhaps for its purifying effects, and is often seen burning things for no apparent reason. He spends most of his time hunting while away from the tribal life of Faerus, and has proven to be quite the adept in hand to hand combat.

Separated from the rest of his clan on a voyage across the sea, he and several others eventually bought their way into another clan with the goods they carried on their ship. He now lives under his foster father, a submissive second son without many prospects. The rifles he carries is a family heirloom, his farther once claiming that it had magical powers. He lavishes attention upon it, and has thus learned about mechanical apparatus. He spends his days hunting or locked in his room, playing with scavenged parts.

Character Name: Glurch Weltzar (He named himself this, obviously.)
Aptitude: Infiltration/Assassin/Whatever it's called in the 40K universe.
Fighting Style: Knife given to him be Jebediah Hazard. It has a pretty chrome skull at its base.

Glurch is a man of few words, most of them sarcastic or grimly humorous. He never knew his parents, being an orphan as long as he can remember. He grew up an urchin, stealing what he needed to survive from the more fortunate. It was in this he learned the art of stealth. Eventually, he was taken in by the Jebediah Hazard, and the two grew up together. After years of stealing and scrounging for food, the two began training for the tournament, hoping to finally pull themselves out of the poverty that has plagued them their whole lives.

Fighting style: Sniper Rifle (3 rounds 5 ammo in each round) with a Katana. Can have poision applied to it.

Smitty was always the elusive type. As a child he would avoid frontal confrontation with other peers and was looked upon as an outcast. He later learned the art of melee combat along with basic ranged training. Even know alone and encrusted in a dangerous island, he prefers solitude.

Fighting style: Reserved, or defensive. Uses a spear/sheild combo. He also has two .44 revolvers with 3 rounds combined, that he uses in emergencies.

Lielk always had a comanding prescence, even though he was never the biggest of his child-hood group. He carries himself with confidence, and knows when to retreat to gain tactical advantage. Knows some minor wood-lore, and tracking skills, and has a strategic mind, but only for the defensive.

Fighting Style: double-barrel shotgun (not made of bone LOLS) and a giant toffen battle axe (made of bones of a toffen)

Jebediah is a very big brute of a man who loves a good laugh and being manly. He also has a tendency to be merciful to those who deserve it. He has an extreme fondness for poultry sandwiches. He was raised by the outer tribes people called "The Barbarians" and has become rather robust from their way of life, often having had to fight the deadly creatures that roam the wastes. Most of Jebediahs weapons are made from the bones of the creatures that he has fought off. Jebediah ran away from the "The Barbarians" after the Raid of all Raids (included a bunch of bandits attacking) Jebediah moved to the village, where one’s life expectancy was significantly higher. One day he came across Glurch, and having befriended him, they worked together to survive in the village in any way they could. They have been training for some time for the upcoming tournament, in the hopes of finally escaping their poverty.

Fighting style: Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū, One sword.

Trained under the last great master of the Hiten Mitsurugi style, his weak psychic abilities allow him the reflexes available to pull off some of the moves. He is deeply spiritual and only wished for peace and quiet, though the means to achieve that goal are often to be considered evil, even if he does not believe that they are.
