In the Darkness
The Asylum
Darkness, oh what an analogy
We fear it only because our eyes can'not see
what it cloaks in shadow, hiding from light
and we fear to go seeking unless it is bright
You move around it, over, under, but not through
Unless you have a light to guide you to
Your destination, on the other side
Never to linger, to see what can hide
In a pitch black pit
With no light to see by
The glorious darkness kept at bay
by the light of a single candle
Humans, are weak, you fear to stay
where darkness hides the handle
to the door. . .
In a pitch black pit
With no light to see by
I sit on the other side of that door
The only one brave enough to stay
And if you see this you are worthy for more
so let me show you the way
to the door . . .
In a pitch black pit
With no light to see by
Follow me to the other side.
